REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2026 SESSIONS BEGINS AUGUST 3!

If you're looking for a "camp", this isn't it...

ArtSmart! Studio offers a true, creative experience... a vibrant studio with plenty of natural light, ample workspace for each artist, quality art materials, unique projects that encourage experimentation & personalized attention to support your young artist in their creative endeavors.

The studio experience offers painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, mixed media & sculpture. Artists will create portraiture, still life, botanical & wildlife studies, landscapes, abstract design & seasonal crafts.

Project/media combinations change yearly to avoid repetition, keeping the creative experience fun & fresh for returning artists!
Weekly enrollment is limited to 16 artists. A minimum of 6 participants is required to run each weekly session.
Don't delay enrollment! Sessions not meeting minimum enrollment 2 weeks prior to start date are subject to cancellation.
Registration for each week closes the Friday prior to the session.
"New to studio" artists at minimum program age (8) are required to provide proof of age upon enrollment.

MASTERPIECES & MOTHER NATURE

Celebrate the beauty of the natural world through art... botanicals, land formations, animals & insects.

A series of stunning projects inspired by nature and created using natural materials, as well as traditional media. Weather permitting, we will spend time creating art outdoors!

ILLUSTRATION INSPIRATION

A NEW THEME FOR 2026!

Inspired by the work & creative techniques of famous illustrators, this week will feature projects celebrating the art of illustration in various forms... literary, scientific, botanical, textile, culinary & more!

Media will include pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencil, pastel, collage & printmaking.

ANIMALS IN ART

All creatures, great and small, will provide inspiration for a week of all new masterpieces... fresh & innovative takes on classic imagery!

Working in a variety of media, young artists will create a magical menagerie... insects, birds, mammals & reptiles... from the sky to the sea, the forest to the farm!

Pack up your palettes & embark on a creative journey to celebrate art around the globe! This summer's itinerary may include stops in France, England, Japan, China, Austria, Russia... wrapping up with a return to North America.

WHIMSY & WONDER

A week of whimsical, wonderful projects inspired by the imagination... charming creatures, sweet treats & cute crafts for the garden & home!

Not only will we draw, paint & print but craft using textiles, plaster, clay, wire, beads, stones, wood, buttons & more!

ABSTRACT ADVENTURES

A week of abstract expression through line, color, shape & texture! Artists will experiment with both traditional & unconventional materials to create fabulous pieces... including a studio favorite, acrylic pour! Inspiration will be taken from music, nature, masterworks to create exciting, intuitive art!

Summer Workshop Specifics

SUMMER WORKSHOP FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE & NON TRANSFERABLE BETWEEN WEEKS OR REGISTRANTS.
Each workshop day begins promptly at 9:00. The studio opens at 8:55. There is no "early drop off." It is in your child's best interest to arrive on time, as project instructions/demonstration and/or selection of project materials occur during the first 15 minutes of each day's workshop.
Seats will be assigned at the discretion of the studio director, unless requested by the parent upon registration/via email prior to the start of the week.
No seating changes will be made once the session begins.
Dress for a mess! Workshop materials may permanently damage clothing, shoes & other belongings.
Workshop participants must be able to work with age appropriate materials independently & responsibly.
LEFT-HANDED participants are encouraged to bring a pair of scissors, if needed.
The appropriate & safe use of materials will be demonstrated to all participants. Risk of injury is assumed by the participant/parent upon registration. Parents who choose to impose a restriction regarding project materials must do so by submitting a request via email prior to the start of the session. While an alternate material may be available, some restrictions may eliminate the possibility of successful project completion and/or participation in a workshop/activity.
Phones are permitted, but discouraged due to risk of damage, with use limited to break time only.
While food & drink are not permitted in the studio, artists are welcome to bring a NUT FREE snack & beverage to enjoy during our mid-session break, held outdoors.
Artists are encouraged to bring a beach chair/towel for seating during break & creating outdoors. Chairs are preferable, as the lawn tends to be wet for several hours each morning. Chairs may be left at the studio for the duration of the week, if desired.
ArtSmart! Studio is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings. Any items left behind at the studio at the conclusion of each week will be discarded.
Daily workshops conclude at 11:50. Dismissal is promptly at 12:00 from the patio.
The studio closes for the day at 12:00. In the event that a child is still in our care after 12:05, a late fee will be applied (payable upon arrival the next workshop day).
LATE FEE: 12:05-12:15 $20, 12:15-12:30 $40
